Heliofault
A personal, non-commercial visual experiment in typography, light, motion and browser interaction.
I set the concept, visual direction and interaction requirements. AI coding agents handled implementation and release testing.

Overview
The challenge
I wanted to explore how type, light and interaction can leave a visual memory without turning the work into a commercial product.
Priorities
What mattered
- The work is personal and non-commercial, with no client, collaborator or business outcome attached.
- Motion and synthesized sound require accessible preferences and explicit visitor control.
- The experience is a static site with no analytics, forms, accounts, backend or database.
Decisions
Key decisions
Keep it self-contained
System fonts and local assets keep the experience independent of third-party scripts, APIs and embeds.
Put motion and sound in the visitor’s hands
Motion follows the operating-system preference, with clear controls for motion, replay and optional sound.
Keep every fallback usable
Reduced-motion, no-JavaScript and forced-colors modes keep the content and appropriate controls usable.

Current status
Where it stands
Heliofault is live as a standalone experience at heliofault.vercel.app. It is personal work with no client or commercial outcome attached.
